CHRIST CHURCH, CARMARTHEN / EGLWYS CRIST, CAERFYRDDIN

HOW CAN I JOIN THE CHURCH? SUT Y GALLAF YMUNO Â’R EGLWYS?

Everyone is welcome to come along to our services. If you then decide that you would like to become a part of the church, you can ask Canon Patrick or Mrs Jean Long (the Parochial Church Council Secretary) for a form that will enable you to join the Electoral Roll. If you have not yet been baptised or confirmed, that can be arranged (see below).

Mae yna groeso i bob un i wasanaethau’r eglwys. Os ydych am ymaelodi â’r eglwys, gofynnwch i’r Canon Patrick neu Mr Eric Jones (Warden y Gynulleidfa Gymraeg) am ffurflen y Rhôl Etholwyr. Trefnwn fedydd neu gonffyrmasiwn (gweler isod) pe bai angen.

HOW CAN I SUPPORT THE CHURCH? SUT Y GALLAF GEFNOGI’R EGLWYS?

There are many ways in which you can help. The church is a voluntary organisation and if you have a particular talent or skill, we would be glad of your assistance. Over recent years members of Christ Church have contributed to the life of our church family in a wide variety of ways.  Some have helped with services as readers, intercessors, servers, choristers, musicians, actors in plays and sidesmen and women. Others have used their artistic gifts to arrange flowers, produce kneelers and paint banners. Several have made a valuable contribution to our work with children and young people, or have played an active part in the Mothers’ Union and the Women’s Guild. Members of the Parochial Church Council and others have helped with administrative and financial matters and with other practical work (which can range from moving furniture to making cakes or washing up). There are those who distribute the parish magazine or who have helped with the creation of this website. Some church members keep a kindly and caring eye on those who are unable to attend church because of age or illness or personal circumstances. Many people contribute generously to the church’s financial needs (gift aiding their contributions where possible to ensure that the Chancellor of the Exchequer gives something back). Underpinning it all are the quiet but all-important prayers of some of our most faithful church-people.

Mae yna sawl ffordd i helpu. Mudiad gwirfoddol yw’r eglwys ac rydym bob amser yn falch i gael cymorth y rhai sydd â sgiliau a thalentau neilltuol ganddynt.Dros y blynyddoedd diwethaf cawsom ystod eang o gyfraniadau at fywyd yr eglwys gan ein haelodau. Ceir rhai sy’n cynorthwyo gyda’r gwasanaethau fel darllenwyr, arweinwyr gweddi, gweision yr allor, cerddorion, actorion ac ystlyswyr. Defnyddir doniau ambell un i drefnu blodau, tapinyddu a chreu baneri. Rydym yn ddiolchgar I’r gwirfoddolwyr sy’n helpu gyda’r plant a’r bobl ifain, a’r rhai sy’n weithgar gydag Undeb y Mamau ac Urdd y Menywod. Cawn gymorth gan aelodau’r Cyngor Plwyf Eglwysig ac eraill gyda materion ariannol a gweinyddol a gwaith ymarferol arall (sy’n amrwyio o symud gelfi i weithio bwyd a golchi llestri). Dosberthir cylchgrawn y plwyf gan rai tra bod eraill wedi gyfrannu at fodolaeth y safle hwn ar y we. Mae yna eglwyswyr caredig sy’n cadw llygad carcus ar y rhai sy’n methu dod i’r cwrdd bellach oherwydd henaint, llesgedd neu amgylchiadau personol. Cyfrannir yn hael at anghenion ariannol yr eglwys gan lawer ub (gan sicrhau, pan fo’n bosibl bod eu cyfraniadau yn elwa o gymorth rhodd er mwyn cael rhywbeth ychwanegol yn ôl o Ganghellor y Trysorlys). Sylfaen y cyfan yw gweddïau dirodres hollbwysig rhai o’n heglwyswyr ffyddlonaf.
