Your Vicar: Canon Patrick Thomas MA PhD

Canon Patrick Thomas

Canon Patrick was ordained in 1979 and has spent his entire ministry in bilingual parishes in the Diocese of St Davids. He has been Vicar of Christ Church since 2001. He is also Chancellor and Canon Librarian of St Davids Cathedral, Pembrokeshire and a member of the Governing Body of the Church in Wales. He is the author of several books in both English and Welsh on a variety of subjects. A new collection of his stories about Cosmo the Christ Church Cat will appear before Christmas, and a book of reflections on his travels in Armenia (‘A Welshman in Armenia’) will be published by Carreg Gwalch in April 2012, with an introduction by the Archbishop of Canterbury. Canon Patrick is a regular religious broadcaster on BBC Radio Cymru, BBC Radio Wales and BBC Radio 4 (‘Prayer for the Day’).
